Major Upjeaval Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Major upheaval
Tuesday,14th July 2020

Major upheaval is in the offing
superpowers are coughing
at each other with war threats
to greet with equal forces

what is at stake?
are they raising sleeves for a fake cause?
let us pause for a while
thinking about the miles to go

the world may never benefit out of destruction
on the contrary, it shall deteriorate the good relation
countries may draw arms at each other
with the clear intention of going to war

all the efforts should be made to thwart the move
the good intention should be proved
the disengagement should be observed by concerned parties
and every care should be taken to stop hostilities

the world can't afford another standoff
poor has nothing instore to laugh
the economic sources are scarce
to go at war may be simply be called a farce

let no one wish such a gloomy picture
where the future of entire human beings is threatened
it shall be another year of mass slaughter
and everybody shall suffer
