Mahashwetha Poem by Kashmeera Sambamurthy

Mahashwetha

Colour is just a word,
You are more than that.
Beauty is just a word,
You are more than that.

Excellence is just a word,
You are more than that.
Empathy is just a word,
You are more than that.

Personification is just a word,
You are more than that.
Then why pity yourself?
Why curse yourself?

The World is a very tough place,
And you are more tougher than that!

COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Kashmeera Sambamurthy 14 September 2016

This is the first poem I have penned down as the Novel Mahashwetha and the author Sudha Murthy hold a very special place in my life. The novel moved me to such an extent that I was compelled to write a Poem based on the Protagonist Anupama.I am open to healthy criticism and would take things or every comment positively to become a better Poet. The comments that I will get, will always be a reminder as to I have a long way to go and I have to keep going!
