Maggie's Room Poem by Melinda Butterfield

Maggie's Room

I walked into your room tonite and felt that I was blessed. I saw the pictures on the wall of God who gives us rest. I realized that you were very rooted in the Truth, and yet I always knew your strength had been there since you youth. The music on the radio was subtle and was clear, God was speaking through the songs tuned to the channel here. I felt that I was comforted from being so oppressed by all the little daily things which cause us such unrest. My tears welled up into my eyes as I began to pray, 'Thank God for Maggie and her life, great Lady of her day.'
