Lying Poem by Annette Aitken

Lying

Rating: 4.1

Lying

Lying comes so easily

you say I love you

with such easy

with bated breath

you lie to me.

Friends should kiss

from cheek to cheek

not on the lips

where lovers meet.

When cuddles turn

to full embrace

just right there

in front of my face.

Should I stay,

or should I go.

Hang on till the morning comes,

it may look better in the sun.

'Lying comes so easily you say I love you with such easy' the desire to love and be loved makes all tender beautiful hearts prey, best to find good hearts and leave the lying words for less wise ears, lies like cancer can eat into our souls, true love seeks only to uplift adore the beloved, my choice if given a choice every time :)

My mother-in'law used to say a liar is worse than a thief. My wife disagreed but I didn't. I think a Liar can cause permanent damage. Good poem
