Lunch At The Colcord Poem by Marilyn Lott

Lunch At The Colcord

I’ve got to tell you about a place
Where we ate such a wonderful lunch
Everything about it was great
You’d like it, I have a hunch

It was elegant through and through
Linen napkins folded so unique
We could smell the delicious flavors
And couldn’t wait to take a peek

Crystal glasses we sipped from
And the food was prepared perfectly
If you wanted to spend the night
The bed looked so restfully

Even the bathrooms were elegant
Done with such charm and style
Why, it was a place that you just might
Well... like to rest for a little while

The décor was so charming too
It wasn’t more than we could afford
So perhaps you would like to visit
A delightful place called the Concord!
