Loved Ones Heartache...[ Victorian Bushfires] Poem by Michelle Brummell

Loved Ones Heartache...[ Victorian Bushfires]

Rating: 5.0

Loved ones heartache.

Lost beneath a tidal wave of depression
Heart ache and sorrow buried in the soul
Memories and treasures never forgotten
Loved ones perished beneath fires coal
Flames were burned beneath the mist
Of the great hoses hauled
Friends and family lost beneath
The houses’ structured fall,
Memories
Though happy ones
Just bring the pain back to life
Until once again buried in my heart
Away from the bright light
Orange red and blue
I remember swirling around
Until lost in black consciousness
I was sent an angel to be found
I am one of the only ones left alive
To this day I lived
From that nightmares destruction
A sight I won’t forgive
Though no matter what nature puts in my way
It will only make me stronger
More confident that I will see them again one day.
On heavens accompanying shoulder.
