.love Thy Enemy

Loving thy lovely mother
Is an instinct of nature,
Love thy amiable lover,
like in enchanting ancient lore;
‘Love thy propitious neighbor, ’
Were the holy words of Jesus,
Love to make them happier,
As they are one amongst us;
Love thy repugnant enemy,
Which do not say many,
It is the sparkling words of God,
Requiring a heart of Gold;
