Love (Sep 26th,2002)

Love suffer long and is not kind
Love gently fades from my mind
Love envies not
Love has withered and rot
Love gives and forgives
Love for me no longer lives
Love never reasons but profusely gives
Love for me no longer lives.
It gives like a thoughtless prodigal it's all
And trembles then lest it has done to little
It knows know limit to it's endurance
No end to it's trust, no fading of it's hope
If there is anything better to be loved
it is loving
What lies
I thought it was supposed to
outlast everything.
Love still stands when all else falls
How easily I believed such lies before
Love no longer opens it's walls
Hate is the sand in the machinery of life
And love is the oil
Or is it more true to say Love is the cause of such strife
To hate being sand, I say it's the oil
And love is life's toil.
Love understands and love waits
For some time love, for me has closed it's doors
And locked it's gates
I am alone unloved with no one by my side
Hate is spiritual suicide
