Love Letter Poem by Emily Wang

Love Letter

It's time my depression teaches me a lesson,
life is too short to worry,
so I better hurry,
before the gate closes,
before it's too late,
before I have too much hate.
Please teach me to live,
and how to forgive.
I don't wanna be mean,
but it's in my genes.
I hope you understand,
whoevers up high in the sky,
yeah, it's my love letter, I know myself better.
Mommy and Daddy I don't really hate you,
single parents in your way,
but I konw you were proud
when I won that award,
I swear I saw you smiling,
that night I was crying,
'cuz you were denying.
Yeah, it's my love letter, do I really know myself better?
