Love Isn't Always Right Poem by Peitho Enthermos

Love Isn't Always Right

When the time stops ticking

When the sky turns grey

When I feel like searching,

but nothing seems to come my way...

Love isn't right.

When I see your face everyday,

and talk to you, I seem to fade away...

I can't, but stare at your lovely face.

You're someone unlike me, - -hard to erase.

Here's why love isn't right.

When the rain keeps falling,

and my pillow is wet during my sleep...

I think of how high I went up the building

and jumped off into the deep.

Love isn't right.

I bought some flowers,

I prepared a song,

I prepared myself,

my decision was strong.

What went wrong?

I breathed a big volume of courage in,

I tried to be the best than who I was,

I tried not to tremble while you were listening to every word I should tell you, lass.

But it didn't go right.

When I hit the ground by my head

the thoughts of you broke out and spread

Hey, but here I am, still alive.

I should have died, if you're my reason to survive!

See, love isn't always right.

But a stopped clock is right twice a day,

the rain is cool and comforting,

and what if I was wrong for what I was looking?

I thank God for the courage to say,

"Love is never wrong."

God is love.

Love never fails.

If it fails, it is not love.

So if it isn't right, it's not the will of God above.
