Faces Of Life Poem by Peitho Enthermos

Faces Of Life

Rating: 5.0

I am my face of fear
I look not on my fate.
Does not feel, does not hear;
Destiny calls, 'It's never too late! '

I am my face that masks,
I want no one to see me cry.
Tears speak only no cheer from me
I am all sugar-free.

I am my face that consumes no light
Where is the sun?
Where are you, star so bright?
Call me awake after tonight.

I am my face full of scars
I lost so many wars,
And battles I wrongly fight.
Come my day! I must win this right.

I must seize the sun beyond the rocky mountains,
And fear no hindrance.
If it is the only way to know the uncertain,
Then I must go forth and learn what's on that distance.

Lead me home, lead me home.
Let that sunlight lead me home,
Away from the shadows of the night,
O, enlightened be my faces of life!
