Love In A Different Land Poem by Dan Brown

Love In A Different Land

You’re miles away, yet
You’re not so far.
For there’s a place where I know
You always are.

Separated only by futile sea,
the wind of my love shall bring you to me.
Remember, as you stand on that distant shore,
that I love you forever, and evermore.

The Earth is no match for what I feel inside.
Not harnessed by wind, nor fire, nor tide.
Our love will rise, and conquer all,
and from such heights, we never shall fall.

To see the love in your eyes is my destiny,
even from so far away.
The day will come soon, though, my love,
when you’ll enter my embrace and stay.

I dream of placing my hands on your hips,
and staring lovingly into your eyes.
Upon thoughts such as these, across the seas,
is how my love, to you, flies.

I love you, I miss you,
I hate being apart.
I want you, I need you,
you’ve captured my heart.

You’re miles away, yet
You’re not so far.
For there’s a place where I know
You always are.
