Love is a word, the simplest of nouns
Important to the world, yet only a noun
Then why does it hurt, like a knife to the chest
Its only a word, so i cant understand

Its simpply a word, that we say everyday
Easy to say, and so easy to gain
So why does it pain, when she's walking away?
Its something i say, and hear every day

Its simply a word, a very simple word
Easily heard, all over the world
So why does it hurt, like a knife to the chest
When i hear it no more, coming from her lips?
