Love Conquers All Poem by Joey Mann

Last night I walked through the land of lost souls
I walked among demons and devils and ghouls
Searching for a loved one, for she to was lost
I was determined to find her at any cost

Even if I must stay in this valley of death
In a place where the wicked breathe their last breath
A place where the devil alone reigns
With an army of evil inflicting pains

I began at dusk with the dropping daylight
And found her at midnight shaking with fright
For the devil him self had got hold of her soul
She sat in a ring of fire shivering with cold

She screamed out in pain as I shouted her name
I drew ever nearer as Satan played his evil game
Not so fast shouted the devil and placed himself in my path
Let her go, said I, or deal with my wrath

Tell me why, said he, she is a sinner like you
Move aside son or I will capture you too
Then take me, said I, for I shan’t live without her
For love has blinded me, made me stronger and braver

I had entered a battle of evil with a weapon of love
And as god is my witness in the heavens above
I will not back down and am determined to win
For love conquers all and forgives any sin

Then loves blinding light shot rays at his chest
And the devil himself was finally laid to rest
I wrapped my arms around my angel and stood up tall
For he who makes the devil fall is proudest of all
