Love Cocoon Poem by Young Poet

Love Cocoon

Rating: 5.0

We were breathless
as one scent, a union
in the fiery darkness
where our souls feast.

The urge to claim
ourselves again sets in.
The steam beneath our skin
subsides.

Your loving
fingers flee from me again,
away from where
I want them to linger—

Back to your smooth hair
and to everything
my hands and lips
could not own in despair.

But now
the window
bleeds with the morning,
and crawling
out from this cocoon we’re in,
you draw the scarlet
curtain
with a smile,
as if to celebrate
what we’ve conspired.

You sighed

“I hope we could stay
forever this way.”

and kissed
me
one more
time and

left.
