Love Became The Unwanted Beast
Love became the unwanted beast
the nightly stalker of doubt
the often unattainable desire
building bigger and bigger
to raise high upon every thought
what a cruel vicious animal it is
to become something such as this
the predator in the dark watching
the whisper in the silence playing
and the soul within surrenders
to all that should be but a word
only such a word is now twisted
the most unwelcome of beasts
