Love Poem by Chris Kafunda

Love

I asked, 'will you dream about me? ' she says, ' it is inevitable, if I gave a dollar, for everytime that I did, you would have more to live on, than you would have wished for.' she adds, 'consider it unavoidable', she gazes deep into my eyes, as though she would find the truth of my heart in the dark space. She says, 'I give you my heart, dont lay my love on the floor. Place it by your heart, right beneath your Bible, keep it in your heart right beneath your one God.' she is loving me deeper, i can see it in her eyeballs. So I tell her, ' you girl, I will never remove, you say intact like my eyesbrows.' she laughs, she tries to hold me firm but her heart breaks, as I am guilty of two things, I am loving her, but I cheat too.
