Louder Than Words (Roundabout Poetry) Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Louder Than Words (Roundabout Poetry)

The acts of men reveal the heart
speech that's heard much louder,
For words do say
what's in display
speech that's heard much louder.

Our thoughts in movements saying there
what's hidden, tucked away-
little gestures
that tell for sure
what's hidden, tucked away.

Sideways glances and frowns may gray
what words try to assure,
from truth depart
fail to impart
what words try to assure.

Meaning what we say's the cure
mind in tune with the heart,
honesty's there
we feel better
mind in tune with the heart.
