Lost On Me Poem by Renee Wangwe

Lost On Me

I'm drowning in air,
Sinking in skies,
Dying beneath words
of love they try to give.

They think they know,
How my hurt heart works,
They say sorry,
Quickly,
To prove they were there.

They don't know how love
can suffocate,
Can design,
Can kill.

They try to love my brokenness but can they even love themselves?
