Lost Lover Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Lost Lover

Lost lover

Saw a she goat use her tongue,
Saw a vegetarian leaking blood!

She leaked her baby,
Still connected to umbilical
And weakly, fallen on the ground…

And in a total loss,
I was, mesmerized!

I have seen the cat, the dog, and the lion,
They cleaned, caressed, comforted,
Using their tongues…

My kiss came to mind,
The French one…

My tongue roamed in her mouth,
And I, am mesmerized…

What is love?
Tongue and love?

And read of Emily Dickenson,
And read of the Paulin Johnson,
Heard the lover Forough Farrokhzad:
"No, no, you are wrong, you make it up,
To digest it, you interpret it, how you want! "

And I wonder:
Care?
Love?
Lover?

If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain;
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain.
