Lost Love Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Lost Love

Love came to me and left but then returned
My heart would become stone the second time
If love cared at all
no wounds would need to be stitched
fear was the snow that has fallen over me
Winter storm barricaded me alive
This house held no fire
The furnace would burn out
