Losing To Myself Poem by Kiki Marie

Losing To Myself

I'm sitting in silence all alone.
Sorrow has already taken ahold.
Grabbing the knife and gripping it tight.
I'm not going to win this fight.

Gliding the knife across my skin.
Didn't have to wait for the bleeding to begin.
Started the next cut parallel to the last one.
Not really caring about what i have done.

There's a temporary feeling of relief.
But came guilt that i had to beat.
There's no reason to live anymore.
So, instead i'll find some drugs to score.

Finally ending all the overwheling feelings.
I can no longer keep on dealing.
