Lord, Where Would You Be? Poem by Gloria Comingore

Lord, Where Would You Be?

Lord, where would you be, that I could not be with you?
Everywhere I go Lord, you were there before me.
Everywhere I go Father, you are there with me.

The highest peak of the highest mountain God, you created for my eyes to behold.
The beauty of a mountain as it peeks past the clouds My God, your presents I feel.
As I travel every state Lord, I know you created all that is here.

As I traveled the Alcan highway, among all the animals that run free are yours.
I stand in breath taking beauty that surrounds me as I am there.
There is no place Lord, that I could go Father, where you have not been before.

The deepest blue lake, the greenest oceans, the hottest days.
The coldest of winter Lord, you have made and I fell your presents each day.
The softness of your breath to the rage of your anger, I know your there.

In my son’s first cry to his son’s first breath, god is yours to claim.
As I search this vast country Lord, I see your hand wherever I go.
As I fall to my knees in wonder my Father, praises to thee I give.

From Tampa, FL to Anchorage, AK; I feel you wherever you send me God.
Your blessing you give me daily Lord God, as I pray.
I give thanks to thee my Lord, for it is your love that I see.

Amen
