Longing Poem by Juan Olivarez

Longing

Rating: 5.0

Longing to be a child again,
To wake up daily, without the pain.
Longing to be twelve once more,
Longing for things, to be as before.

Longing for clouds, that floated by,
Underneath Indian summer skies.
Longing for the way things used to be,
When the world was young and new to me.

Don't we all long for youth and innocence again (though that innocent part is a mixed blessing lol) . Great classy style.
