Lonely For A Lifetime Poem by Uriah Hamilton

Lonely For A Lifetime

Her lovely image
on the sunlit boulevard
of excited trees
was joyous and ecstatic
like an incomparable dream
where you smile in your sleep.

Suddenly, the heart stops,
breath is more excruciating
with pangs of unachievable desire,
a man could die pleasantly on the spot
after having seen certain women only once.

Extraordinary emotion,
drunk with thoughts of perfume
and a dress that slowly moves tenderly
to rest on the awaiting floor,
a hotel room caressed by night.

I'd like to speak compliments
to a woman free of deceit,
to clutch her hand and repeat
everything in you is perfection,
nothing should be different here,
this worship will never cease.
