Live With Me Poem by elizabeth griff

Live With Me

point.blank

please take these words and tear them apart

judge me like you have right from the start.

whisper your words and pretend like i care

simple acts of kindness wont get you anywhere

be sad and alone for all of your life

take it for granted and run out of sight

they'll find you and hurt you just like they always have.

remebering the truth can be such a blast

take these words and spin them around

mis-match them and then put them down

fit them to your sentence...

your everyday life

make them a story

make them a ryhme

swollow you dignity

and show some pride

and to think you even tried

who figured this

would be my end

who thought of this and said amen

we need to move

our minds a far

think of things

find out who we are

dream of things that wont come true

be a friend

ill save you

try and help me

to understand

the way i live

may be a sin

but im not poising your heart

everyone wonders
what happened to you

just open the window

and hope that they dont know

-burnt metal never smelled so black-

live for the moment

and die for this day

sit there and waist your life away

depression is an awful disease

I like the poem but not the theme. Depression I don't like, but I know it is a terrible thing. Good Write Your friend Lynn

The last line says it all Kristen, 'depression is an awful disease'. I should know, Jerry
