Little Rebel Poem by william Dadeah Jr.

Little Rebel

Rating: 5.0

Little rebel, are you what you are, that you are?
Or did men make you who you are, to go as far?
Take no blame, for the world is as cruel and blue
Though you took as many breaths and few
In heaven, I know God still knows his child
But as war make you astray to walk a mile
So as the light, that reflects to make you a peace
Little rebel, are you what you are, that you cease
Innocence, to live as paladin and vagabond in street
Mothers are wind, and fathers are scatter as leaves that greet
But never before may you stay this way
And never again may you grieve to see that day
Lay down your arms, you little rebels of tears
Lift up your heads, you little rebels of fears
Soon enough the trees, the rivers, and the sea
The clouds, the stars, and the world will see
But when tomorrow comes, you will know to free
Who you really are solemnly in thee
