Little Rain Poem by Jean Luna

Little Rain

Rating: 4.8

Your gaze pierce my heart and my soul
As mine backs off for things I haven't told
Afraid that you'll see what it must not show
I'm so tired of thinking where this could go

I know now why it troubles me to face the mirror
For I regret the times that I didn't look deeper
How could I not see that girl beyond your eyes
Now my heart stays cold while cloth with lies

I hid that your smile swept my worries and fears
All those doubts I've been trying to melt for years
But now the mere truth doesn't need to be heard
For in a short message you made everything clear

You said:
'I miss her so much and
I need her every touch'
It's painful that your eyes are just for her
And you smile to her much sweeter

So here I am lost, can't find my way back
I'm drowning on my tears and my foot is locked
To thoughts of rejection, foolishness and pain
I was punished for a wish of just little rain

I'm jealous...
Every inch of my soul is
Jealous for a man that I never had

I'm foolish...
I'm tire to believe somehow
Where is my rain now?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is not the first poem I ever wrote but I guess this is one of my favorites. This is about a girl who met the man of his dreams and he made her fall deeply but then at the end the man confesses that he's still in love with his past. She can't even fight for her love because the man doesn't know about her feelings....i hope you could relate.

After a little rain the sun will shine. Happiness may push sorrow out from a persons soul. Good poem.

Love is a spiritual experience that affects all and sundry profoundly. It comes when it pleases and settles where it pleases. It's a lovely piece of poetry, well articulated and nicely penned from the heart with good rhyme scheme. Thanks for sharing Jean. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
