Listen, not just to my words
Listen to my heart.
Shhh...silence the whirring sound inside your head
Let me finish what I have to say instead.

We were created with two ears and just one mouth
And it means we must listen twice as much and speak less.
The biggest hurdle is, you find it difficult to be still and listen
You arrive at your own conclusions not hearing everything.

Misunderstandings after misunderstandings
Rebuttals after rebuttals
You do not listen to my heart
You listen to your doubts and fears.
