Light Can Weep. Poem by Fay Slimm

Light Can Weep.

Rating: 5.0

Early morning sun streams through windowpane
And washes me awake with Devonish air
Breezing clean and lucid. I think again
Of you, wishing you with me, not there
Over so far and dark a distanced ocean,
Then instead of sparkling fresh, the morning
Sinks into a sigh and weeps. Emotion
Takes reins, and I now, without warning
Feel missed moments slide like raindrops slowly
Down my cheeks as the light and I weep, alone.
