Life's Chance Poem by Randy McClave

Life's Chance

Those who had died yesterday
Already had plans for this morning,
Who knows what they would do or say
They already left, without a warning.
Those who had died this morning
Already had plans for tonight,
But, of course there was no forewarning
Or even the slightest insight.
Don't take your life for granted
It can suddenly change in the blink of an eye,
One moment it is enchanting
The next moment it's your time to die.
Everything can always change
So, forgive often and love with your heart,
Never be estrange
And from love and kindness do not depart.
Before you make your plans
First ease your pain and soul from sorrow,
Heal the hurt from your hands
Because we are not promised a tomorrow.
Say your sorry and also be forgiving
Don't seek the last word or a win,
Be helpful and kind while you are living
You my not be given that chance, ever again.
