Lifeless On The Cross

God's promise had been sent from on high
The world knew no better cause
Righteousness had kissed the face of truth
Now the Way was faced with mournful loss
The Savior of the lost hung lifeless on the cross
Tears poured forth from our wounded hearts
At the price with which our souls were bought
