Life' S Enduring Spirit Poem by Jinge Norvall

Life' S Enduring Spirit

Rating: 0.5

Crimson carpets
brightly laid
‘neath Flame tree's leafy boughs
Jacaranda's purple rain
& cassia's cups of gold...
Ignoring strife
they stand on high
in unasham'ed bloom;
Showering forth
with colour,
In a world so grey
With pain..
How feel they not
Earth's tortured babes..?
How burst they forth
In bloom?
With joyous leaf
And fragrant flower..
When the tender
Are bowed down?
And yet they stand
A witness
To burdens borne
Too long
They stand a testimony
To life's enduring
Spirit.
