Life's Dirt Road Poem by Bonnie Collins

Life's Dirt Road

Rating: 5.0

Did you ever picture a dirt road with
freshly blown dust, with an adventurous
path waving you on, reasuing your
adventure is safe, and exciting

So securely you take the path delighted
with all the twists and turns with each new
road a new adventure

Never looking back to notice your path was
either now a right or a left, you just kept
following your heart and instict knowing one
thing for sure, you seemed to have lost your way

Night fell and the sun went down, with the
wipperwill singing its nightly sorrowfull song

Alone, now you can not return, your only
hope is to find the main road inwhich
led you astray from the begining

Like life you must find your way and
learn from a dearly mistake, not all
dirt roads seem to have the same path

Soon the sun comes up, the mornig birds
now are in harmony however you still can
not manage to sing, for if you did, who
would answer

Years have passed, and finally you mangaged
to follow a blomming orchard from afar which led
your heart to a warmth of sunshine mixed with
puffy clouds, signifing all is well now

Your love has taken me on these roads my love
I have been there and know them now like the
back of my hand, but if you get lost in your dirt
road, I will still come and find you.........

Bonnie, Bravo on this one - once again, a well-crafted, well-penned poetic achievement. Robert

A sandstorm of emotional guidance mapped by one who has already explored the desert of romance.......
