Life Runner Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Life Runner

The brevity of life prevents me
From carrying loads of burdens
That are needless and quite heavy
And to have them at all makes no sense.

The dark years had passed and are gone
To dwell in regret is quite defeating,
I cannot undo all the mess I have done
But I'm headed for change and improving.

This journey will be light, my steps faster
When I choose to close doors and walk on
Letting go of the memories that hinder
And head high, take my victory won!
