Life Is So Short, We Fade Away Like Sunsets Poem by Brett White

Life Is So Short, We Fade Away Like Sunsets

Life is so short, we fade away like Sunsets,
A mountain Mist are we, the cloud Begets.
Rising briefly in God's Majestic Light,
Our Sins it consumes, Grace Shining Bright.
But Pride and Vanity run so Rampant,
Causing me daily to Bow and Repent.
I give Praise for the Day God has given,
I pray for my Sins to be Forgiven,
With Humility and in Deference,
Because Vanity is without Defense.
And Judge not is my inviolable Motto,
God is the only Judge, just so you know.
Believers or not, Judgment comes to all,
As Surely as the Leaves will one day Fall.
