Listen Closely To Thine Own Inner Voice Poem by Brett White

Listen Closely To Thine Own Inner Voice

Because in Life we are faced with a choice,
Between choosing Freedom or Servitude...
To the whims of the delirious multitude.
And Grateful should by thy Soul's Attitude.

Because tomorrow is never guaranteed.
So raise thy Head Prouder than the Black Steed
Whose reigns, freed, gives way to a Brighter Day;
Which kisses us all in the sweetest way.
And live with the Joy in which children play.

Toss thy Regrets to the wayward Seaside
Shore, which cleanses Herself in Her own Tide.
Divide worries until they reach Zero,
And neglect not the chance to be a Hero,
To one who'd otherwise live in Sorrow.

Always smile at the graceful falling leaves.
Wear a countenance which never deceives.
Believe in God and His untold Glory;
Cherish the Joy in a Bedside Story.
Attune thy Soul to God's Viola D'Amore.
