Life Is Like An Oak Poem by John Turnipseed

Life Is Like An Oak

Springtime sprout leaps forth from the acorn.
Eager to grow and full of promise.
Summer rains produce a sturdy young sapling.
Strong and supple able to stand firm, against life's tempest.
Autumn brings a time of glory, flushing out radiant colors.
Speaking wisdom gained from watching all things flourish
then return from whence they came.
Winter completes the circle,
spreading leaves and acorns on the earth.
A time of sweet remembrance, and brittle branches.
Leaving a rich legacy to nourish, and replenish
generations yet to come.
