Life, Death, Heaven, Or Hell? Love? Poem by sarah bishop

Life, Death, Heaven, Or Hell? Love?

Rating: 5.0

Love is so warm and sweet,
so wonderful and good,
love can mean anything in the world,
in life it means you are one with another.

Love means you would spend your life with another,
and love throughout those long years,
and be loved back,
but have you ever thought of death?

Death is the ending of love,
but the begining of another love,
one you can not see or hear,
but will always be there.

Death is so very cold,
the opposite meaning of love,
but yet they both mean,
being together with a loved one.

Loved ones are the ones you love,
they can be lost and then found,
but some loved ones can never be found,
lost forever in a sea of hate, and flame.

The sea of flames is what we call Hell,
never to be with loved ones ever again,
to never be loved again and stuck in Hell,
never to be loved ever again for eternity.

Heaven is the best place ever,
the golden gate of heaven open up to the good,
beyond those gates are family and friends,
that you can spend eternity with.

Between eternal Life or Death
what would you pick,
to live forever and loved never,
or Death, to live beyond the golden gate.

What would you choose Heaven or Hell,
life with family, to spend eternity with, in heaven,
or a true Death in Hell to live no longer,
with no one to love.

The choice is yours,
so be wise to yourself,
would you rather be with your loved ones forever,
or live in fear for eternity.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

nice poem, but some times we don't get to pick what one we go to, but we can always hope

Hi Sarah - Interestin poem - interesting choice. A well structured free verse poem with good rhythm and readability. It scores a MAX (TEN) . V 1 love and life are inseparable. V 2 But we have to come to terms with death as well. V 3 Death is the end of Physical Love but it can be the beginning of an invisible eternal love. V 4 Death is cold - but not the end of love - unless (V4 & V5) our beloved is lost in Hell for eternity. V 7 However there is an alternative destination HEAVEN where we will be reunited withour loved ones. V 8 - 9 - 10 Present us with a choice. 'The choice is yours so be wise to yourself. Would you rather be with your loved ones forever (in Heaven) or live in fear for eternity (in Hell) '. I know which one I have chosen Sarah - how about you? Love you in Poetry - JOHN.
