Life Poem by Alexander Romanov

Life

Rating: 3.2

Life is the greatest mystery of all
On its tides you rise and fall
Sometimes life tears us apart
To bring us back again and light the fire from the start
You live your life day by day
But the problems wait for you like beasts at bay
All of a sudden, you want to run
You desperately want to find your place under the sun
Love comes and love goes
What happens, no one knows
Suddenly you feel that something snaps
And under the weight of failures you collapse
No matter what you try to rise
Though you are encircled with rumors & lies
You try to survive in this world of steel & stone
You realize this but it is too late
You realize that you cannot control fate
Lost in a world of danger & crime
You feel that your life does not cost a dime
All our efforts are just a dropp of water in an endless sea
All we do crumbles to the ground though we refuse to see
All we are is dust in the wind
Everything is dust in the wind

Lost in a world of danger & crime You feel that your life does not cost a dime All our efforts are just a dropp of water in an endless sea. a very fine poem.. like your thinking but as i read the poem doubts came in my mind.. is it not very pessimistic? we shall count the joys and every little experience of love and smile on this earth and see the beauty of nature and find consolation in prayer and in relationship with God.. tony

Well I guess I am a pessimist and this poem reflects my view of life at the moment it was written
