Life is a journey
Life is a game
It could be as honey
It could be for shame

Life is a teacher
Life is a thief
Life might be a preacher
But it is full of mischief

Your joy it would steal
And pain you would feel
When you lose all that's real
As pride is levelled to your heel

Life could be fun
As your life is a grace
As your desire would burn
With joy on your face

Life is full of pretence
Placing hope on suspense
Life is the greatest king
Unsure of what it would bring

Its throne is your soul
He watches as you sow
Death is its goal
As he watches you grow
