Letter To My Motherland



It is that time once again
And the birds sing of the dusk of another reign
The time is apt to assess and to judge
To stake our loyalty - the axe or the nudge
There may be change on the horizon
Men shudder in fear and anticipation
Their Evil they can hide no more
And their very deeds seek their fall
And in dire times like these
When Fall and Shame in the distance tease
When the taste of power is dying on the tongue
And more and more of it we long
