Let Us Not Pray Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Let Us Not Pray

Only river
Can bear
Dirt of mankind
Through the curves blind

Some rivers disappear in between
Their fate is surely seen
Some go further to carry polluted waste
To kill the sea creatures who rest

What are we doing for future?
Do we not know what is happening for sure?
Are we not using daily sea feed?
Are we not going to be diseased?

Let us preserve nature
Along with our culture
That says to be in liaison
And not to be in collision

It is our life line
More to say about it as divine
Let us not pray its water
But preserve and cater
