Let People Call Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Let People Call

Rating: 5.0

Let people call me anything
I have to offer them something
I have ideas and some clues
That can be repaid as dues

Some of the words may prove as future forecast
That may stay forever and last
I shall go on doing simple task
As I shall be open to them without wearing mask

Let them comment anything in this regard
I shall have to look forward
Provide them with material of poetical value
That might have served by only few

I love them to be unknown companion
Who always build good rapport and union?
That serves me as divine drink
Adds me with vigor and energy to think

What poetry has to do with burning problems?
What has it to do to alleviate sufferings and troubles?
I have no clear ideas about it but think otherwise
It is step in right direction to act as wise

If you can make people change their style
Make them think in positive direction meanwhile
Then think your writing has something to offer
Even though some of the people may tend to differ

I believe in sensible writing
That has no content for fighting
It is lovely to feel good among readers
As they are the people who are our masters

Even churches, temples and mosques may look barren
If no followers visit and offer prayers even
Such is inter relation between poet and readers
One needs to obey the instruction and orders
