Let Live. Poem by Mugdha Kusray

Let Live.

I've heard of people,
Climbing mountains and
Diving deep into the oceans,
Just to live.
I've heard of people,
Dressing up and lathering
Their faces with reds and pinks,
Just to live.
I've heard of people,
Wearing shiny sequined dresses
And dancing till 6am,
Just to live.

But I haven't heard of them,
Permitting others,
To live.
The ones who love,
A little differently.
The ones who dress,
A little differently.
The ones who talk,
A little differently.
Or even, the ones who look
A little different.

Aren't they human?
Aren't they one of us?
They may be distinct,
But doesn't that make them
Exquisite and unique?

It would be such-
A beautiful world
If only we could live
And let live.

And let live.
