Lessons From Betrayal Poem by Mashe Others

Lessons From Betrayal

Upon rising back to where I once was,
The trap I’ve gladly fallen down into,
Having exhausted way more this time around,
I found there’s just really nothing I can do.
Now I know better than to take second chances.
Hearts don’t change, and getting used to,
Can get unused to, and so once should always be enough.
In love, once should be more than enough.
The men have fallen and caved in
And my own anguish is subsiding,
To rest for all eternity never shaken up again.
