I cannot look at your face darling.
You have a kind heart and we are both searching.
If you are trying to hide out of fear
Or uncertainty I am thankful,
Because we are too alike you and i,
We are like the other half of each other.
And we can just fit right into each other if we try
To give it a chance, it’ll be way too much,
Too much of a good thing, they’ll never consider us.
They’ll roll their eyes and laugh in disbelief
Seeing that we’ve found the one thing
Everyone was hankering for.
It just isn’t right.
We can’t take the chance, we shall not have
A happy ending, nobody deserves it.
Nobody. We know those who have claimed
Are liars, they’re faking it. I’ve looked into
They’re souls and I saw nothing but empty rooms
Filled with contradicting words. I think
I recognized a few I’ve lived with for several years.
And that’s how I’m certain
We cannot be together.
