Lesson Learned Poem by Deepa Kochhar

Lesson Learned

Rating: 4.5

as i was on my way
After a long hard day
I saw an accident
A fat women was lying bent
A cyclist had hit her and she fell
and immediately started to scream and yell
Fully charged with tension was the air
As the poor fellow stood still there
The fault was not his, she could not control
Fat as she was she had a great fall
Abuses followed one by one
As the crowd gathered to watch the fun
The man seemed in a shock
Like a pebble in front of a rock
He seemed like a little stray pup
Till he realized she could not get up
Suddenly he stood upright
His face became bright
He started to mischievously sway
Waved his hands and moved away
The women realized her plight
and clutched her wrists tight
do not leave me alone
where has the chivalery gone
the lady who was abusing suddenly begs
please atleast get me up on my legs
I thought about it for a while
And drove away with a smile
I learnt a lesson never to forget
Whatever u give back you get
Time never remainds the same
This is the life’s game
Mighty becomes weak and weak mighty
These are the ways of the almighty
