Lend My Heart Poem by Juliet Eggemeyer

Lend My Heart

Lend my heart and my ears to the sweet sincerity of thy way
Midst joy or struggle. Let thee be my earthly angel in times of
affliction or sorrow. May my moments of happiness and reverie
Be through your eyes. No word nor man shall sunder my love
Or faith in you though man and utterance amid demise. May the lark
of my spirit serenade you with sweet song. Let thy distress and loneliness be forgotten in thine arms. For our vitality may witness strife and persecution. Lend not our love to perish with him.
