Left-Overs Poem by Nika McGuin

Left-Overs

Rating: 5.0

The best thing,
is that you left me
so many beautiful memories

The worst thing
is that you tossed them in a plastic bag
and placed them at my feet, alongside
the oblong fragments of my broken heart
later vanishing into the mist

Nevermind,
it's actually the worst thing
that you'd left them at all
and that I still can't seem to
get rid of your left-overs
